Scary Situation

I had my bio up on ebay because I buy quite a bit from there. I put it up 2 years ago and totally forgot I did. Well, I placed a quilt for sale on ebay just to see what the market was like and I had a "Rudy" write me a email telling me how pretty my quilt was and how they liked my bio so much. So I wrote back to her after a week (I thought it was weird that she wrote me in the first place) and chatted and asked about her life and she told me she had a 20 month old daughter and how she's 40 and she is glad she waited so long to have a child and then started talking about things that made me realize it was a man. A man!!!! Whow! Freaked me out! So I went to ebay and deleted everything I could delete.
That is scary. My husband thinks having a blog is bad. He says anyone anywhere can read it and if you have info they can find out where you live and who you are. So, I am so nervous that I'm taking out everything I need to to keep my identity private.
Just be careful out there.

Thanks for the heads up!! I am going to my different sites and changing a few things! Best to be aware and safe. I think my husband would agree with yours! Be safe :^)

Thanks for posting this. We worry about the kids, but tsking precautions is for everyone. It seems we are always checking behind us for different things that can go wrong.

About me - read it all!

I live in north eastern Oregon in the foothills of Mt. Fanny. We have long, snowy winters and short hot summers. I am married with two grown children who live in the San Juan Islands. My husband is a conductor for the railroad. I was a conductor for the railroad before I decided to stay home and quilt. I quilt most days until I have a "I can't do it anymore" moment and walk away from it for a week or more. But I always come back to quilting. I've made more than 30 quilts in 2 years and have given all but 9 away. I have a son, Cabel, who is 35 and is an Xray technician and the computer guy at the hospital in his town. He has everything going for him. He is excellent with computers, golf, makes apps and makes good money doing it, extremely witty, fun to be around, calls me all the time, very good son, love him so much. My daughter is 31, is a sleep lab tech at the same hospital, married to Joey, has two cats, Dudder and Squeaker. Annie is still my baby. Guess she always will be and she knows it. She is quick witted and makes me laugh till I can't breathe. She loves to read old classic books. Her favorite movie is "Breakfast at Tiffiny's". I once paid her $50 to read "Roots" because I knew she'd love it. After she read it and I paid her (she was in grade school), she said she would have read it for free because it was so good. I paid her to read John Steinbeck also. I'm glad I did. Now she knows good books. I tried forever to get her to read "The Tao of Pooh", even left it at her house, but she refused to read it. I just talked to her and she said she was reading it (1 1/2 years later) and she loved it. It changed my outlook on life. It is like Taoism 101. It's pronounced Dow-ism. It's an easy way to learn the basics about Taoism. Taoism makes life easy. Makes life flow. Lets you walk through life. Read it. It will be a good beginning to learning about Taoism. Taoism is about a way of life, that's all. It makes you happy and makes you enjoy what you have and not want. That's all I'm going to say. But it truly changed me. Piglet has a book out, too. Can't remember the name. I bought it, but haven't read it yet. It's similar in it's teaching, but about a different way of life. They aren't about religion. Get that straight right away. It's about YOUR way of looking at life.
